RAYWELL PARK
The Disability and Inclusion (DANDI) project will deliver a 6-week inclusive outdoor adventure, nature, and forest-skills programme at Raywell Park Activity Centre, Humberside Scouts, starting on Monday 14th September. The project is specifically designed for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aged 5 – 12 years, providing accessible opportunities to engage in positive, structured outdoor and nature-based activities.
The programme will use the natural environment as a therapeutic and engaging space to support wellbeing, confidence, social interaction, and personal development. Many children and young people with SEND experience barriers accessing outdoor provision due to a lack of specialist support, inaccessible environments, or social anxiety. This project aims to remove those barriers through tailored, inclusive delivery in a safe and supportive setting.
